Garnish Event Design: “Bridesmaid Proposal” Inspiration and Suggestions!

He popped the question, and you said yes, {DUH!} so– what’s next? You simply cannot get married without choosing which of your closest friends and family members you want beside you on your big day. Recently, guys have been going to extreme measures to find special ways to ask their soon to be Mrs. if they will take their hand in marriage, and of course, “bridesmaid proposals” have also followed this trend!

When you ask your role model of an older sister or your bestie since the first grade to take part in your special day, you are not only asking them to put on their best dancing shoes and help hold your bouquet, but you are asking them for a large amount of their time and usually a large financial commitment. If you want your lovely ladies to feel special and important, finding a unique and fun way to ask them to be in your bridal party is a must! Not only will this gesture make your bridesmaids see how much they mean to you, but it will also show that you appreciate their willingness to help with not only your wedding planning {who knows how long this could take,} but also with the big day itself! Don’t panic just yet, Garnish Event Design is here to help! Here are some of our favorite ideas when it’s your turn to pop the question:

Make it Personal!
Currently, monograms are extremely popular, and conveniently enough, there are so many ways to use them! Getting your bridesmaids something that has their own monogram on it will  make them feel unique and special. One way we have seen monograms used is on a robe or a button up shirt. This is not only a trendy idea, but also very convenient! Your bridesmaids can use this essential item to get ready in on your big day! Plus– it makes for some adorable pictures!

Consider the Weather!
If you are getting married during months with a cold climate, or your venue is outdoors, get your bridesmaids something that will keep them warm! This gift will be especially useful for photos after the ceremony. Plus, this gift can be used again and again after your wedding day. Who doesn’t love something both cute AND practical? We sure do!

Help with Beauty Costs!
If you are the type of bride who wants their bridesmaids to all look the same, with matching red carpet ready hair and freshly manicured nails, surprise them with helping to cover the beauty costs. This may seem silly, but your bridesmaids will appreciate this gift more than you know!

Remember to Keep it Age Appropriate!
If your 12 year old niece is joining in on the fun as a junior bridesmaid, it probably isn’t a great idea to gift her with a bottle of champagne like you did with the other 5 lucky ladies who will be standing beside you on the big day. Finding gifts that are appropriate for all ages and still have special meaning to them is important. Jewelry is a great way to accomplish this! You can either buy your bridal party a piece of jewelry you would like them to wear on your wedding day, or something that will serve as a keepsake for years to come.
